| Cozy, romantic hand crafted
2 bedroom square hewn log home on the banks of the Elk River, just outside
Fernie in the magnificent Rocky Mountains of British Columbia. Perfect
for honeymooning, a romantic getaway, or just playing in the mountains.
The accent is on extreme comfort, with superior quality king beds topped
with feather beds and down duvets, a 2-person clawfoot tub beside chateau
windows opening on a cedar forest (candles and incense provided), deep,
comfortable antique sofa suite with 32" Trinitron TV, satellite and
VCR, large country kitchen with antique reproduction 6-burner gas stove
(cooking staples and spices are provided). In winter, the skiing is
spectacular; Skiing Magazine ranks Fernie in the top 3 powder destinations
in North America, and the cross country trails are endless. In spring,
summer, and fall, flyfishing is world-class; anglers come from far and
wide to fish the wild cutthroat and dolly varden trout of the Elk River.
Many other mountain activities include horseback riding, hiking, mountain
biking, golfing, and river rafting. Situated on 12 secluded acres amongst
towering trees, this is a truly magical vacation destination.
